HAY GUYS. So, guess who’s a Gator.
EUGENE SLEDGE IS A GATOR.
Yep, apparently he got his PhD at UF. Excuse me while I go run around the Biology Department for no good reason next time I take a midday break. 8DOh man I don’t even know where the Bio Dept. is. D:
Anyway. I am back in Florida now, and updating (kind of) since I have been accused (somewhat correctly) of making a number of empty promises regarding Livejournal updates. Of course, I am covered in cats right now (well, two), so I won’t exactly be delivering on any of these promises as they all involve pictures which are on my phone which is currently very far away on the other side of the room. I can’t even show you a picture of them, because said picture is on the aforementioned phone. But I now have a four month-old kitten named Mushu, and a five year-old cat named Hey Baby (who will be renamed as soon as I can think of somethingthat’s not Leckie).
( As for my trip: )
Which brings us finally to today, during which I had to do the second of two Starlab presentations, after which (undergrad) Amanda and I walked it back to the Astronomy Department in the not-so-pouring rain and got coffee afterwards to make everything better. Also, it appears that Trip really is dying-almost-dead, so the IT guys ordered me a new hard drive and are attempting to save my data. For all that I really need about a million more weeks between now and mid-August, I think I’m glad July is almost over. >>
And I went running in the (drizzling) rain and ate a late dinner and now I am very tired. I think I may just attempt to dislodge the cats and go read my book and pass out early – maybe it’ll be good for me? I did actually wake up this morning only slightly later than I’d planned, so it’s my hope that I can push that back to when I actually plan and things will be awesome. :D;
Also, Scott brought me a stuffed Ewok back from Boston. Just to make me cringe. XD Best officemate ever. No, really. Now if only I could find him that Jurassic Park hat...
Okay. PICTURES NEXT TIME. I promise. For real?
