Jan. 25th, 2006 12:47 amOMG. The X. Is X-shaped. :D This is a happy, happy thing. The jumpsuit is also jumpsuit-shaped, so double yay. I think I may put the panels in to expand it a little, just to give myself a little more room to move in it, because that never hurt anyone. ^^; Oh! Jen! I can't tell - do the white stripe/panel things start immediately under the X? I think so but I wanted to make sure. Somehow this is turning out to be easier than the pleated skirt. x_x;
Um. Not too much new, really, which is my standard fare. School-wise, I'm cross-matching some catalogs to try to find the MIPS objects I'm supposed to be studying. Basically I have pictures taken with optical light (you know, "normal" light~) and I have a list of objects that were selected because they were bright in the infrared (longer than regular light) wavelenghts, and I want to find them in the optical picture. This is harder than you'd think! Valerie (the wonderful <3) gave me a program to do it and took the time to explain it to me, which was really awesome of her. And I got matches! So now I'm working on double-checking my matches, converting their coordinates from one set of pictures to the other, and then I can measure how bright they are to see if they vary over time. Which is the whole point of this project!
Only one homework assignment so far, but I should get started since I only have a week! And we did get a mini-assignment in Cosmology today, after he showed us some pictures and graphs and made us calculate some crazy things in our heads. Let me explain something. I knew how to divide 2/7 in second grade. But now? NO CLUE. D: I swear, I get dumber by the minute.Except for the 20-minute conversation Stacie and I had this evening on quantum entanglement. <3
Stacie and I have also decided to learn to code! I talked to Lee (our not-so-resident coding genius!) and he suggested C, which is a useful, basic tool - he also recommended a book, so maybe soon we'll be on our way!
I think that really is it, sorry to bore you all. ^^; Off to put the piping on the X, since there's not much else to do at the moment~
I need to get the music from this movie out of my head. OMG. o.o

Date: 2006-01-25 06:01 am (UTC)What is it with that movie? I think it's haunting me! My mom watched it 3 days in a row and now it's pretty much permanently stuck in my head. ~_~ There must be an end to this madness!
