Because you are the only person I know who has seen the series, here are my more coherent thoughts after thinking about it:


1.) Just when I thought She-Ho couldn't go any lower, she proved me wrong. As far as villain goes, she's the lowest of the low - the scum type who's not even worth to be respected nor pitied. Going this far just because someone does not respond to her twisted idea of 'love' is completely sick and unwarranted. I feel sorry for Mai, Akira, and Mikoto whose life have now been turned upside down because of her action.

As much as I like the idea of Tate ending up with Mai just to hurt Shiho's pride, I think I'll enjoy it more if I see Shiho suffers/turns insane/falls into definitive coma as she watches Tate perish in front of her eyes. After that, maybe Kagutsuchi can roast the living hell out of her. But judging from her selfishness, I'm starting to doubt if Tate really is her most important person. Maybe it'll turn out that she is her own most important person.

2.) I BLAME SHE-HO FOR TAKUMI'S DEATH. If she hadn't gone looking to kill Mai, Mikoto wouldn't have attacked. ;___;

3.) I think you're right: Mikoto is probably alive. I think it's safe to say that Mai is Mikoto's favorite person now, and she's still alive. Plus, so is Reito.

4.) I want Scary Face!Mai to come back and kill Nao, the Nun, and the creepy Artist. And She-Ho, of course.

Another thing I was thinking of:

Did it strike you weird about Mashiro's (Lavender-haired girl) face/voice when she was talking to Midori at the beginning? It seemed as if she was trying to tell her something that she couldn't just come out and say. Maybe there is a loophole getting out of the final battle?

OH WAIT. I guess everyone will be dead before we actually see anything happen. GRRRRRRR.

Yeah... I really do think this could/can all be avoided. I mean, look at what she said when Mai blew the crater in the middle of campus! She was all like, "Oh, I was supposed to prevent this, damn." There'd better be a loophole.

1) OMG THAT GIRL NEEDS TO DIE. And yes, I will sacrifice Tate if only to see her face when he DIES IN FRONT OF HER. There aren't any words for how low that girl is. If she really loved him she'd let him go and be happy with Mai, dammit.

3) Yeah... I think she is too. I really think Natsuki got her in time. And on that note, I seriously thing that Natsuki and Shizuru and Midori are THE ONLY SANE PEOPLE LEFT. Mai, who I thought was the most level-headed of them all, is as good as gone.

Haha, just wait til you've finished Mai-HiME. There's a whole new series airing now, Mai-Otome, and guess what.... COMPLETELY alternate universe! But with some of the same characters... faces and voices, but different clothes, setting, everything. It's ridiculous. (Especially the incarnation of Mikoto!)

But yeah. That series def is crazy in the head by the end if I recall correctly...

Yeah, I think I've heard something about the utter crack that is Mai-Otome... o.O;; It will have to be checked out... once my brain is functioning again after I've seen the end of Mai-HiME. Which won't be for three weeks yet, since we're actually watching it at the anime club. ^^;

We've just been going to the UF Anime Club on Thursday nights 'cause they're showing stuff we want to see. GTO Live Action, PLANETES, Lodoss OVA, and Mai-HiME. ^_^

Cool, havent seen PLANETES, but the others are awesome... If you like GTO drama, check out Densha Otoko... not based on an anime, but its about an Otaku and his quest to win over the super-hot girlfriend of ridiculous height. VERY highly recommended.

For a while I wasn't too sure, but it does seem that Alive > Dead ^^
