Some of what I've been up to! Maybe...

ad_exiaRight... So I'm taking a break from putting my bookshelf together to finally get some kind of real entry up. ^^; Let's see what I've been up to!
Well, there was the whole Disney thing: went to the Magic Kingdom, MGM, Epcot, and Downtown Disney with my mom last weekend before seeing her off Tuesday and driving back to Gainesville. Pictures may get posted sometime. I hope. ^^; I pretty much spent the rest of the week hanging out with Jen (or helping pack, which is always more fun if it's not just one person alone) since she moved down to Tampa this weekend. Her mom got in Saturday after Chess Match practice, and they stayed with me Sat night and I helped them load up their rented van and saw them off to Tampa before coming back here and actually starting to unpack. @.@; It's going well, though I'm still not sure that where I've put everything is where I want it to stay, but it's a good start, at least.
Also got my hair cut, as evidenced by last entry. YAY. It's straigher - not straight, because that would take a miracle - but much more manageable and I like it much better than trying to grow it out for no real reason at all. <<; So. Back to Ayato-ness for me. XD Been working on coding at work/school - I've got the program ready to go, after an extremely lot of cut-and-pasting, so I'm going to pray and hit "go" tomorrow morning before meeting with Vicki in the afternoon. I went in this morning for a bit, since I left early on Fri, but there weren't many people there and I left when I'd finished writing the code, since I wanted to get home and unpack some more.
I totally dread trying to figure out where I want ALL my posters. And while helping Jen pack I realized that I totally want that Escaflowne wallscroll she has (I've totally coveted that thing for... well, since I knew it was a wallscroll) and I found it on eBay for $6... May have to get it. ^^; And that Sokyuu poster I found on cartoonpassion.com. Not to mention I REALLY want those Destiny figures... But now there's TWO sets! Which do I get?! I... think I want the new set, but it doesn't have Athrun, and I don't have a normal-sized Athrun, just a chibi Athrun, but the 2nd set has a hotter Shinn... ahhh. ><;
And now, in anime:
Dude... suddenly Rey's in love with Shinn. And I even kind of condone it. << But poorMike Vino! Ah well, I bet there's enough Shinn to go around. And speaking of, I noticed two things about Shinn in the last two episodes:
1) OMG he totally got 3x HOTTER after he took Stellar back, and I have no idea why but he DID.
2) He is MEAN! He totally just... bitched out Athrun for *no* apparent reason whatsoever. And got away with it. Rar. Now, I love the kid, I really do, but he needed to get punished, and the Chairman let him go without so much as sending him to bed without dinner. Needless to say, I sent *my* Shinn out onto the porch for the night without *his* dinner. He was snarky in the morning, to say the least.
Right, so I finally watched some more Tsubasa, because I had only seen the first episode and that really needed to get fixed. Can I just say that it's got to be nearly a crime to be as absitively CUTE as Li is? I nearly DIE every time he smiles.... >>;;;;; He is SO cute. And... maybe I didn't notice this in the manga or something, but are, like, Kurogane and Tomoyo seeing each other or something? He so likes her. And she so likes him. Or something. << I'm finding myself liking Kurogane a whole lot more than I did in the manga. No idea why, and I've only really read two and a half volumes of the manga because I suck. But he's cute. Not as cute as Li - NO ONE IS - but cute nonetheless.
Someone tell me that I really shouldn't try to get a Tsubasa Li done before Metrocon, because I have Tetsu and Kira to do first.But I already have the boots and the shirt and something that's maybe passable as the pants.
Yeah, I <3 Ritsuka. << That's... really all I had to say about that. Gotta cosplay him. Soon! He's actually the first thing to be my desktop that's not Gundam SEED in... months, at least.
And... I think that's it for now. I guess it's back to bookcase assembly for me. Whee.

Date: 2005-05-31 12:49 am (UTC)However, I have to 100% agree with you on Tsubasa. While I'm not really keen on Sakura's new design, I lovelovelove Li's. He looks so adorable, as does Touya. When I saw them, I seriously wanted to go to their planet. And, honestly, Tomoyo/Kurogane? Really cute, but I'm confused by it. I picked up on the crush vibes too and thought, "But, wait...isn't Tomoyo a lesbian?" But then again, if Kurogane was smitten with me and my unrequited love was on another planet...well, I guess I'd do the same thing too. Out of curiousity, which do you prefer: xxxholic or Tsubasa?

I've read more Tsubasa than XXXHolic, so I think I have to say that at the moment I prefer Tsubasa, though that really could just be because I <3 Li (and now Kurogane, apparently...). I would, however, like to read more XXXHolic, 'cause I also thought Watanuki (is that his name?) was awesome, and Yuko rocks.
