Ali-chan Update

This is me ignoring my Journal Club presentaton on Io's interior that I have to prepare for Thursday. >>; I screencapped some pictures and figures and started outlining slides; that means I can take a break. Right.
As is usual, nothing much that's really important to update. Spent the weekend alternately reading, sleeping, and staring blankly at my Radio homework. That was okay, actually, becaues we were all still in the same place on it on Monday as we were on Friday, so at least I wasn't the only one engaged in blank staring. Sunday Anthony came over and we worked on costumes, which was muchly fun. Poor boy is sick, though, but I think he's getting over it, so that's good. ^^ Sunday night I finished The Amber Spyglass and now a little part of me feels like it's dead to not be reading that book anymore. o.O Those books were... brilliant. If I ever wrote books, I'd want them to be just like those. And again I urge everyone I know to go read the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman right now.
I also read The Bad Beginning and The Reptile Room, of the unfortunate Baudelaire life story variety. They're quite amusing, except that those poor children really do need something to go right for them (which it apparently doesn't, as there are at least eleven books in the Lemony Snicket series). This brings my book-reading height up to 19.45cm and 0.13% of my height. I hope to have finished The Wide Window by the end of the week, possibly then moving on to the awesome book Stacie got me for Christmas that claims to be a short history of, well, everything. ^^
Jen's finally back in Gainesville, too, which is happy because I don't think I'd seen her in something like a week. We got some dinner and hung out, and there was general good because I kind of missed hanging out with her, and am glad that I don't seem to be too much of a bother or boring or something (this is always dangerous when you're an oblivious nerd). -_-; (Oh! And I read your fic sometime last week, and was evil and didn't get around to commenting because I suck. I muchly liked; poor Shinji. One of these days Kamio will figure out what in the world he wants. Though now I feel bad for both of them. ;_; I am definitely looking forward to the resolution!! Poor things.)
Oh, and as a side note, because I don't really think anyone on my friends list probably cares too much, but I got hit over the head with an InuKai fic idea and managed to get it out (I always seem to end up writing fic on Valentine's day, but thankfully it was not Heero/Relena this time >>). The
inu_kai community seems to have accepted it quite well, which really made my day. Silly how little things like that can really do it, but I've been in a random good mood all day that I somehow feel incredibly guilty for. I'm weird.
And that's about it. Headache is beginning to call; maybe I'll abandon the presentation and go to bed. But DUDE... what is up with this not-Lacus DDR remix of Shizuka Na Yoru Ni? o.O; This had better be on the second Destiny soundtrack. Too bad I'm too tired to watch 17 now - it *just* finished downloading. Ah well - tomorrow! When I finish my presentation. And my grading. ><; Yeah. Bed's looking good.
