It's that time of year again...
Nov. 10th, 2003 10:13 amThe time of year when Alison has to apply to grad schools, when she'd really much rather... well, *not*.
Stupid UCLA with their Dec. 15th deadline. At least I know about it ahead of time this year. -_-;; Well, personally, I think I'm amazingly on top of things. I mean, it's only what, November 10th, and already I'm making my list of schools I need to apply to! Go me! (I think...) And seriously, although I need to rewrite my statement of purpose, at least the groundwork is already there. I definitely want to make it sound better, though I don't know how much attention they really give to the little three-paragraph piece of paper the poor sleep-deprived prospective grad student wrote themself.
So... uh... after my 31-hour sleeping stint, I got out of work and headed to Chinatown 'cause Adam called, and he, Leah, Steph, and I all went to go get fabric. I found some stuff for Yahiko's hakama, and I printed out the pattern so hopefully this means it will get started... sometime. And I found what I *think* will work for Claus' sexy flightsuit (I really don't know what else to call it! ^^;): brown corduroy! It *should* work... provided they have the almost 5 yards of it that I'll need. And I didn't see any light tan vinyl, which slightly bothers me, so I may have to ask if they can order some more for that harness-dealie. 'Cause dude, that thing's cool, and I have to make it. I think the only other hard part will be finding the ribbed fabric for the collar, but I still think that shouldn't be too hard. I *really* need a color picture so I can match colors, 'cause I'm just not good enough with stuff like that to be running around with a vague mental image, ingrained though Claus may be in my mind. ^^;;
And.... yeah, that's really just about it. Got to talk to Jen the other day, but I think her cell phone hates *one* of us. ^^;; I'd blame it on Heero, but we decided that if he was in charge of all technologically-based things breaking down, that would be rather scary. So I'm just resigned to admitting that because I named my compu the Zero System, that whenever it breaks down it's at least his fault then.
