A pretty good weekend, filled with... well, doing nothing important, but as I was sick and trying to get better, that worked out just fine. The weather was gorgeous - wish I could say the same for today, when it's just... wet and cloudy. Ugh. I hate my hair. >>; Hatehatehatehatehate.
Right. Been pondering getting one of the new slim PS2s - as in trading in my current PS2 for credit towards a new one. I don't know how much I can get for it, but I guess I need to go out and start asking around or I'll never find out. Because once I get a new one I can get the swap discs and play Prince of Tennis on my own system! XD Now that we've figured out "high tension" (read: awesome!) mode, things are much more exciting - i.e., like the real show. ^^; Smash Hit 2 obviously has more things than Smash Hit 1, but they're both equally fun and we've mostly been playing 1 because it's over at my house and I want to unlock some pictures on that one since we've got a lot of them already unlocked in 2. And I think we're getting one of the Naruto games (found it on Ebay for, like, $9) so that's exciting too, because Jen won't play DBZ with me (and that's fine) but we want a fighting game that's not just tennis.
In other news, I got my calendars this morning. They'd apparently come on Saturday, but got left in the office WHICH IS NOT OPEN ON WEEKENDS. I can't figure this out - usually I get a note on my door if things are too big for the post boxes we have, and I go pick it up at the post office. But this weekend, I got a note in my mailbox saying it was in the office, so I had to wait until this morning to get 'em. Both are very pretty. ^_^ The Prince of Tennis one is... well, *huge*! I mean, Japanese calendars are already big, but this one is *bigger* than your standard-sized Jap. calendar. o.O; Uh, not that I'm complaining, as the front is a nice big picture of Ryoma. ^^;; It's got rivals, but at least I know who most of them are, and I'm overall quite happy with it. And Sanada's not wearing his hat! Dude, he even wears that thing to bowl in! The Juuni Kokki one is also pretty, and is a bit smaller than standard but it's still a wall calendar, so I think I still need to find something for my office here at school. It's hard enough to remember when my classes are; I never know what day it is! Now I am merely waiting on the wonderous copy of Spheres that I blew the last of my birthday money on because, dude, it's SPHERES and animebooks had it and I HAD to buy it!! Yeah for Last Exile art.
Anthony stopped by this morning too, which was cool because I practically never see him! We hung out and talked and stuff until he had to go to class, and we both think that whenever that holiday is this month (the 17th or something) should definitely be a cosplay day, as Jen and I were also mulling over the fact that we need one of those sometime soon (so I can get my butt in gear and actually start making Heihachi). I've also been actually fixing up Claus, which will take a while but is nothing actually *hard*, thankfully. Just a lot of sewing by hand, which is always, always fun. >>;
Aaand... it's just about time to go. They moved coffee hour to 10:30am from 2:30pm, which sucks, but it's just (hopefully) temporary so I'll try to survive. Class in half an hour, time to do some actual paperwork until then!
