Happy Friday!
Oct. 29th, 2004 05:49 pmIt's actually been a pretty good day. Woke up early-ish but found out that the meeting I'd had scheduled was canceled, so I got to take my time getting ready and heading to school. Worked on the homework a bit until I found out that class today was canceled - which meant I have 'till Tuesday to finish writing it up (yay!). There wasn't a colloquium today so I did some paper-hunting, reading, and printer-wrestling (I think I lost) and decided to just head out so I could go grocery shopping. I also went to the bookstore and lo! they had Loki and Tactics. YAY. (This means I bought two volumes of manga by the same manga-ka... eheh.) Of course, they had Tsubasa 3 but I'm too poor right now to get *three* tankoban so that'll just have to wait. I was going to get the sequel to Faerie Wars but they didn't have a paperback copy so that'll have to wait too.
Then I came home and watched an episode of Buffy and realized that there are only two more episodes in the second season before I'm through with it. o.O;;
Jen's out of town 'till Sunday night so I guess I'll just have to amuse myself. Or do lots of reading. >>; Considering I have two papers/talks due... at some point, and I haven't *quite* picked a topic for one of them... yeah, there will be reading of papers this weekend. And taking notes! Because it's so easy to forget what you read in a scientific paper that notes are really the only way to go. Especially since I have to read most of them on my computer because the printer-wrestling was unsuccessful (though I hear it's the printers, not me or my computer, so I guess that's good...).
So yeah, looks like it'll be a pretty good weekend. In past events... Saw the lunar eclipse on Wednesday; I took some pictures that may or may not have turned out so I'll post them if they did, but no promises until I download them from my camera. In pet-land, changing Shinji's bowl water was fun. >> He turned into Kamio (read: spastic) when I moved him to a different bowl to change the water, but was a happy fishie as soon as I put him back in his bowl and went right back to being cool. ::shrug::
Why is it almost November already? o.o;
