ad_exiaZOMG it's been so busy here! But busy in a good way~ ^_^ Anyway, I haven't really had the chance to do much of anything computer-y, with the exception of checking a few RP journals, for pretty much a week. So, um, I'm alive and I'm very glad all of you are, too! <3
So, uh, first order of business! AFO! It was a lot of fun; I hung out with mostly Persimmon and Diana, but I got to see a lot of awesome people that I don't always get to see and it was very, very good. <3 I would, um, make a list but it would take half a page. But thanks to all of you for talking to me and making AFO so great!!
Friday I hitched a ride with Diana down to Orlando; we wandered around as Ryoma and Tohru/Ranpha (gee, guess who I was XD <3) and met up with Persimmon a little later in the afternoon. We waited around for a looong time to watch the fanfilms (uh... good sound is key, people! I was very sad I couldn't hear most of them clearly D:), and afterward went to McDonald's for burgers as Ryoma and Ryoma. XD; (OMG, yes, there were TWO Ryomas, because Persimmon was Ryoma too! <3) We also watched the first few episodes of Black Cat in the room before bed, and it was really good and now I have to download more!
Saturday I was Soi Fong which, honestly? Is a really comfy costumedespite the holes in the sides of my pants. :D; But... really, I was kind of hoping someone might actually recognize me, since I was from BLEACH. (I never get recognized because I'm weird and do costumes from shows no one but me watches. ^^;;) Wasn't so much the case, though - I had a couple people (maybe five-ish) know who I was, so that was exciting, but hey, it's not like I care - it was comfy and the shirt was fine and all was well~ We signed up for the costume contest and did a lot of wandering. Later in the afternoon I changed into a yukata for the AFOscars thing, and it was quite comfortable as well! I left the Soi Fong wig on - and actually while Persimmon and Daisy and I were standing around, some girl came up and fangirled my wig, so that made my day. ^//^; The Oscars thing was okay, but really, they gave out something like three times as many awards as there were entries. ^^; Whatever, though, I think most people won something, so that was good! Then there was the "after party" - with FOOD! :D - and dance, which we hung out for, and it was pretty fun~ After a few hours, though, Persimmon and I went back to hang out in the pool for a bit, which was fun. :D
Sunday I was Anita for the costume contest, and we kept getting stopped with Diana as LeBlanc and Daisy as teh awesomest ballgown Tsubasa Sakura~ But that was okay, because they had such awesome costumes! And seriously, EVERYONE in the world watched ROD between metro and AFO, because people actually KNEW WHO I WAS OMG!!!! That NEVER happens. :ONot even with Bleach, apparently! So that was muchly exciting. ^_^ We got lined up and went through the costume contest (this was, like, the first I'd done by myself and entering a costume and not with a group for something), which was fun and there were some awesome costumes, though I have to admit I thought they should've had more awards, because a lot of people had such wonderful costumes~ But Diana and Daisy both won because they are teh 1337 and I was very proud! <3 Afterwards, Persimmon and I went to IHOP for food (and were pretty much the only people there!) before everything was packed up and Diana and I headed north~ ^_^
And then Jennie and Dad came Monday. :D
So, Monday~ I left to pick them up at Tampa and found them without a problem; we stopped for lunch on the way back and took a break by watching Fantastic Four before doing a bit of shopping and eating dinner at Bento's. We picked up the first season of Dead Like Me at Best Buy and sat down to watch it, and it is AWESOME. XD So after watching the pilot, we were all ready for the next episode, only to find...
There were TWO of disc 3 and NO disc 2. DDDD: WTF? So there was no more of that, and much sadness. ;_; Tuesday we slept in and did some insurance-y stuff (I need to switch to FL car insurance to get FL plates) before heading over to the costume shop and then Best Buy to exchange our boxset and get one with, y'know, disc 2. BUT THEY HAD NO MORE. D: We were even sadder! Walmart and Target didn't have it, either, so suck! Dad says he's going to order it and send it along when he's done. ^^;; We had lunch at Hops, which was really awesome, and Dad went to the pool while Jennie and I went to JoAnns to get fabric for River and Fuu (which I am making for her, because I want to make it and she wants to wear it :D;). So I got some nifty River fabric for $30 and Jennie got Fuu for $25 and all was well. ^_^ We made a quick stop back to the costume place for grenades, then back to rest and flip the door on my fridge (the new one had it on the other side, which made it really inconvenient ><;) and had dinner with Diana at Bonefish Grill, which was lots of fun~ We got a glowstick! :D And there was much shaking of fists at Nsync and the like.
Wednesday was awesome - we headed to Orlando to go to Islands of Adventure, which Dad has never been to, and it was so, so much fun. ^_^ Except Dad and Jennie kept breaking all the rides. XD; We went on Spider-man first, which was awesome, and then they went on the Hulk while I hung out (I'm still scared of it ;_;) - but the ride stopped working for about half an hour, so I was left waiting for a bit, and when it finally started running again they showed up and said they were next in line and didn't want to leave and really, who can blame them? It was no problem so I didn't mind. ^_^ We had green eggs and ham for lunch, then rode Cat in the Hat (for the air conditioning XD), which broke for a minute or two halfway through (Dad and Jennie strike again!) and dueling dragons, which stopped to switch cars when we were next in line (and again!). XD We were glad the building didn't come crashing around us when we did the Poseidon's Adventure thing. |D;; We stopped into the Jurassic Park visitor's center for a while and hatched baby dinosaurs and morphed Jennie and Dad into new species (they "fuse" your DNA with a dinosaur's) before Dad and I went on the JP River Adventure and Jennie opted to wait, since she doesn't like the drop. We actually ended up moving into the single riders line, which had a two minute wait (literally), and went on it twice before looking for Jennie and heading back to go on Spider-man (single riders line~) two more times. ^_^
We finally headed back towards the front of the park to do some shopping and head for City Walk, where we went to Pat O'Briens so Dad could get a Hurricane, Starbucks so Jennie could get a mug, and had dinner at Bubba Gump's, which is seriously one of the best places I have ever been to~ Everyone was SO NICE and having so much fun, and Jennie asked which drink came in the light-up cup (these girls behind us had one, it was so cool!) and the waitress said whatever we wanted, and asked if Dad wanted one too, and he said sure, and I said why not, so we all had light-up glasses. |D; We actually ended up buying them because they were just too cool; the food was soooo good and people came to help you really quickly if you needed something! Jennie got a giant shrimp plushie and I got a shirt as well, and it was a really good time. ^_^ We stopped back at Pat O'Briens so Dad could get a Rainbow, and then thought about going to Downtown Disney but it was late and we really had to head back, which was sad, but the drive wasn't too bad and when we got back Dad helped me put the new piece in my desk so now I can use it again yay. :D
And then this morning we got up really early =_= and drove to the airport ('cause Jennie had to head out to Baltimore tonight for Otakon) and I said goodbye and I want them to come baaaaack! D: But we might be able to meet in Las Vegas for Jennie's birthday soon, so that would be really cool. ^_^ I had so much fun, and Jennie took a billion pictures (which she will probably post) but if anyone's not on her flist and wants to see them, just let me know! :D;
o.o; Man, my hands hurt! Anyway, the drive back was really nice and when I got back this afternoon I headed into the department because Glenda had send me an email two days ago saying OMG FILL OUT THIS PAPERWORK BY FRIDAY OR YOU CAN'T GET PAID!!! and then when I got there she said, "Oh, nevermind, it's already on file" and I almost died. ._.; So I stuck around for a little bit but I was really tired, so I headed back and fell asleep until the repair guy came to fix the A/C (again) because it was dripping (again); I fell back asleep and had the craziest dream that we owned a Chinese restaurant :D;; and just woke up about an hour or two ago, now. ^^;
So, uh, yeah, I've had a crazy week, but I'm back and around again and stuff! I should be mostly caught up on my flist, but I didn't get to comment for the past week or so, so, um, <3s to EVERYONE and I really have been reading as best I can. ^^ I hope everything's going well for everyone and I'm sure I'll be able to catch up with you all for real soon!
