A note of forewarning: this entry brought to you by a week's worth of no sleep. Please feel free to skip. ^^;;

OMGIHAVE. Sitting on top of my DVD player. THE FIRST SEASON OF THE SENTINEL ON DVD. :DDDDDDDDDDD

Okay, that was really all I had to say about that. Um. ::blink::

It's been an OMGLONG week. But that's nothing new, it's the end of the semester. Spent just about all of it split between my second year project and the last real Cosmology project. BUT. The paper is IN. YAY. (Wow, it's 26 pages, geez!)

... Oh, yeah, and trying to study for that Solar Systems test this morning. ^^;; Wow, getting up at 7 after studying 'till 2:30 was... tired-inducing! But I got some more studying done before the test this morning, and got my revisions from Vicki and corrected everything and got the paper sent in. (... I think I already said that.) So yay, now I just have to stand up in front of the entire department and give my talk. o.o; First. On Monday. O.O; But I'm going to practice it for Valerie on Sunday, so I hope that will be good. ^^;

Also! Registered for the GTC conference, because I CAN GO! :D Vicki is paying for me. Because OMG, it is HERE and it's NOT during a weekend when I'll be out of town~ I am apparently registered to present a poster but hey, if I can make it through a 25-minute talk, I can stand next to a poster and give a 5-minute one. ^^;; Sun and I are gonna room together; we were joking about staying up late and working on Cosmology, because really, what else would we do late at night? XD;

... Er. Guh. Maybe I should translate some of this. In case anyone really is reading. Um. So the University of Florida is part of some partnership that is currently building the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC), which will be the largest optical telescope on Earth, with a mirror 10.4 meters across. (Well. Until they start on that thirty-meter one. o.O;) So this year, we are hosting a conference in Miami among all the supporters and scientists of said telescope, so the department REALLY wants as many representatives from UF to go. So, um, I'm going! ^_^ And I'm going to have a poster about this second-year project that's been killing me lately, and stand next to it and give an uber-short talk. And I don't have to pay for any of it yay!

SO. Right. This weekend is working on my talk (which I've only had time to kind of start, since I spent the rest of today from about 3 to 6:30 working on the Cosmo stuff), and maybe trying to actually sleep before next week. Classes officially end Wednesday, but I have two projects and a homework set due Friday, and then there's my Galaxies final the Wednesday after that. THEN there's the qualifying exam, where I have two weeks to cram six classes into my brain so I can prove that they should let me stay and work on my PhD. o.o;;;

Um. In... way backdated news, Easter was kind of fun. ^^; I went to Valerie's church to watch her dance in the morning service, and I went with Joanna and actually met up with Vicki and Ata (my advisor and her husband, also a professor) and we sat with them and it was kind of cool. It wasn't a catholic church, so the service was way different from what I was used to, but pretty cool. And very multimedia! And Valerie's dances were awesome. Then I spent the rest of the day until it got dark at the office working, but, well, that's not new. ^^;

Also, got to hang out with Diana and go to part of Anime Club yesterday~ Plus lots of fun cosplay discussion! OMG. School Rumble. RULES. XD

... As per usual, I probably had a lot more, but I forgot it. I think I'm going to go... guh. Do something. Maybe watch TV OMG! Because Dr. Who is on in... twenty minutdes. o.O Damn, that's what I get for working at school until 6:30. Anyway.

I haven't read my flist in at least three days. It's lucky I don't have that many friends but still, it may take me a while (read: more than a few hours) to get through it because actually my eyes hurt too much to stare at a computer screen for much longer today. So I really do care! What I've picked up from my skimming:

Mona: I hope your kitty is doing well! <3
Jen: How's the jobstuff going?
Bucky: OMG Sailor Moon I fell off my chair laughing.
Lisa: <3

And if you didn't get a note, I suck, but I've only skimmed a few entries the past few days. ;_; And I really mean skimmed. It will probably be the same for about another week. Er. Though I'm sure it's not like anyone's actually missed me or anything, so it's probably okay. Though I actually got tagged for two whole memes (that's, like, my quota for the year!) so I'll try to post those next time I have five minutes. Will, I think I owe you one still too, wow I suck.

Quote of the week:
Curtis: I wonder what the people on the planet in HD 209458 call themselves.
Scott: HD 209458ers, of course!
Curtis: Hmm... yeah. I wonder what the chicks are like.
Scott: Oh, they must be really hot.
