ad_exiaJust put up my LE poster from Newtype. Yay! Now Claus is on my wall. AND Lavie, which brings the girl count up too. Always a good thing. ^^;
So... I promised an update - don't worry, I didn't just get up. I've been up since 1:30-ish, I guess I must've been tired to sleep that much. Tho' I do have one of those "you slept too long, baka" headaches. Ah well. Starting with yesterday, then...
No class. Had to get up and drop off my Carbon Systems lab-thing, so I went over to E34 to do so. Couldn't find Seth, so I slid it under what was hopefully his office door and emailed him about it later. Hope that works out.... ^^;;;; Anyway, I went to the AniClub office and got changed into Ryoma - it was SO nice out yesterday! Like, 65, 70, something like that. I wasn't cold! Yay! I met up with Adam and Jedi Steph so we could trek to Tokyo Kid in costume and get the prizes for the AMV contest. That was lots of fun; we spent quite a while in TK, I got a PoT figurine, one of the ones that comes in a box so you don't know who it is. Turned out to be Oishi, so I guess I'll have to find him a Kikamaru to keep him company. ^^;
We got food at Bartley's - of course, I managed to spill on myself, but Ryoma's a 12 year-old boy, he'd probably do the same. ><;; Anyway, I soaked my shirt when I got home before club, and it mostly came out. So there. So then I went to club, which was tons of fun. First was the Naruto special, then the AMV contest. Ninja of the Night won hands-down, everyone loved it. There were some other good ones, like a Tutu one (yay Tutu!) and an amusing Trigun one. ^^
Then came the cosplay contest. Whee! Skuld was Luffy (duh...) and they had enough judges so she and I could both be in the contest. 'Course, all I did was walk out there and say, "Mada mada da ne." ^^; But it was cool. We had two Kakashi-senseis: Sean and Will, so they went out together and did a little skit where Sean tried to create a clone, only it didn't work, so Will fell over and lolled on the floor. It was great - they won first prize for it! David brought along lots of little ninjas, and the cutest Yoh ever, with a little Amidamaru in spirit ball mode, *aaaaawwwwwwww~* There was a Link, an Orphen (cool!), Belle, a Trek person, Kikyou, Guu (yeah Leah, I think she got second place), Alex came as Zabuza, etc., etc. It was lots of fun, regardless.
THEN came Last Exile. Oh... I have lots to say about Last Exile. Somehow, I don't feel like writing it all right now. Basically, though, like I said before, I didn't see it. I hid behind Steph. She and Will threw themselves in front of me, and Will kept taking away my tennis racket when I started going "Grrrrrrr." David thought it was hilarious. ^^;; Anyway, I WILL say something about it, but not right now. Not in the ranting mood, per se. And I talked to Jen about it, so I kind of got it out of my system for the moment and don't want to regurgitate it just yet. But there will be comments later. And, just for the record, I love Claus. ^^;; Poor boy.
We also watched 2 eps of 100 Stories, which is just plain weird. @_@ Cool, but weird. Nifty op/ed themes, even if they have bad grammar.
Uh... Today I just kinda sat around. Went to Garment District in search of stuff for my next few costumes, but no luck. It was 75 out, though, so the whole point was really just to get outside. Watched the first ep of Peace Maker Kurogane - duuude, that show has good music. I want it, now!! Can't find it, but I want it!! It's pretty good, though I swear the dude with the pig is SO flaming. Skuld would love him. ^^; I thought he was a girl until he said something.
Then I watched dubbed Shaman King - Horo-chan showed up! YAY! But... Well, see, he SAID his name was Horo Horo. But THEN he said, "Oh, but you can call me 'Tres Boarder' 'cause I'm just such a radical snowboarder." And they took him up on it. ::cries:: No! His name is Horo Horo, dammit! He even SAID so! At least his voice isn't too bad. But really. Call him Horo Horo! They renamed Kuroro something, Kori or something like that, and they said she lives under a lillypad. But... it's a butterbur! Ahhhh. Oh well, in general it was a funny episode. But stop calling him Tres!! (Can you tell how sad I am about this?)
Also watched the last ep of PoT that I have, being #40, so I need more. Must go dld more... but my stupid 'net has been acting up ALL day. I am getting annoyed, but I don't think there's anything I can do about it so I just have to be annoyed. ::sighs:: Oh well. And now I'm off to go do something, like read, or maybe just sleep, because I don't know how it got this late or why I'm tired, but I am. ><;;
