Ugh. The gods have decreed I can't own a Seigaku shirt. ::cries:: I *found* a decently-priced one on Ebay, but noooo, I got outbid. Gr. So I still have to make manga eyes at Rachel and beg her to look for one for me again. ^^;; Or strip Ryoma. *evilgrin*

In other news... Finished grading for 12.421, so that's a good thing. I even *tried* to start my 12.515, 'cause I have TWO psets due next week (our extension puts the previous pset due the same day as the new one O.o;;) but I don't know how to get Matlab to take partial derivatives, so forget that. ^^;; As soon as I can figure that out, I think I'll be on my way.

Um... well, working backwards through the past couple of days, yesterday I went to Harvard Sq. with Adam to go to Pandemonium, looking for some used Lackey books and also hopefully a used D&D Player's Handbook. No luck on Mage Wars books (gonna have to buy those for real), but I *did* score the D&D book for half its usual price. Makes me happy. Found a Seisouhen poster with Kenji and Ripped Yahiko on it at Tokyo Kid, so of *course* I got that. ::grins:: Been looking for a good picture of Yahiko! There're some new Kenshin figs, they're really cool, but I held back. No new PoT stuff. Ah well. Then I had my office hour, and then I came home and... well, did *something* until almost 3am. At which point I tried to go to bed... I think I fell asleep sometime between 3:30 and 4...

Sunday was the day we got back from NY; we only hung around long enough to get some of the breakfast buffet before heading back. Rainy but otherwise uneventful drive. D&D night was fun - we had ice cream and a *really* long game (8pm-3am) and finally resolved our "mission." Apparently Kai's allowed to roll for his "gaydar." Mwaha. Oh, but I *did* have an amazing stroke of... well, luck! One of my domains is luck, meaning I can re-roll a bad roll once a day. Hellgas, Kai, and Chloe were all cornered in the cellar with some REALLY badass (read "going to kill us") guards on our tails, and I rolled a 2 for one of my hits, so I re-rolled it. Got something like an 18, meaning *yes*, that's a hit... and rolled the highest damage possible. ^^;; Dear Lord, that guard was SO dead. Poor guy...

So! The wedding! All in one chunk... left nice and early Friday morning. After almost being merged *into* (dude, this big white car just kept on merging into us even after we honked!) and Sarah's first speeding ticket (within sight of our exit!!), we got to April's. They have a VERY nice house - very old, and nothing like houses in the midwest. Lots of little rooms as opposed to a few big ones, like I'm used to. And decorated all in Colonial and Victorian (they look the same to me, I'm a horrible person, give me something Roman to look at...).

We got some lunch, then went to the rehearsal and the dinner. Then we bridesmaids went in search of pansy seeds (apparently a Theta thing) and didn't find any, but we did find some actual pansies, so Anne figured that would be good enough. We also went to WalMart... where I got new sneakers, and some blue satin-y stuff that will match the windbreaker material on my Seigaku jacket-to-be. That I should get moving on. O.o;;

Anyway, the next morning we were up nice and early to go to the salon. Somehow they managed to get my hair to look like it was long and up, instead of short and down. They had like 41 bobby pins in there! Sheesh. And they put makeup on me and stuff... I think it made it through the wedding, and that was about it. ><;; To make April happy. Which was worth doing, as one of the groomsmen decided *not* to come to the wedding the *day of*. That's just rude, man. All because he and his girlfriend were fighting. Rude! But the wedding went off just fine, and her church was beautiful, and her dress was really pretty too. The reception was fun too; I hung out with Erica mostly once I escaped the head table, and they even got me to dance a little. ::shrug:: April's dad also put together a really nice video presentation (that's what he does for a living, so it was excellent). He's cool.

Yes... so that's the wedding and the days following. So now I'm here, and maybe I'll work on my jacket a bit, since I already took a stab at my homework and failed. Gonna do Geosystems tomorrow (I hope), since I'm at work ALL day but I have access to Excel, which is what I need. YAY for profs who tell you to use Excel.
