Killing Time

ad_exiaWhew. What a day. Woke up kind of later than I'd wanted to (noon as opposed to 10:30) but it turned out not to be a problem because when I got to the Baker desk to check into Green Hall, the house manager turned out to be not there for the day.
The girl working desk said the manager had left some keys for people checking in today, great, but mine wasn't one of them. Okay, so I got out a temp key, that's cool, but I can't get into Green because there's no desk (I guess they just use Baker desk) and no house manager to let me in. Fine, so I went to the card office to go ask, and figured I'd get a new ID card while I was at it. The line was about 45 minutes long, so I just read my book while I was waiting, but when I got up there the people working said they couldn't switch my barcode to let me into Green unless they got an email from the house manager. Who is not in today. Fun. ^^;;
I got the new ID (okay pic, but I hadn't planned on doing that today so I don't look all that great, bah, whatever, at least my pic no longer has me with braids) and ran up to the housing office. Diane, who knows me now, was really nice and they just called down to the card office for me. Yay! The card office wants an email, which Diane just sent, so now I'm just killing time and waiting for the card office to change my barcode so I can get into my own building. Whee.
Not too bad, just a lot of running around for something that should have been simple, you know? But I really didn't have much planned for today other than packing, so it's cool. I did pick up some packing tape at the COOP, since I had to mail Jennie's stuff to her that she'd left here. I also renewed my membership, which I'd been meaning to do, and dropped off those Chobits CDs in the AniClub office so they don't have to move with me. Heh.
I'd really like to redo the club board, and I think Ed has a key to it, so I should talk to him about that. Maybe Wednesday. Tomorrow will be too hectic, what with moving and everything. There are dolly-things available to check out at Baker desk, though, so I plan to use one of those all day long. Yay. But there are stairs into Green at either entrance, I think, which may make things... interesting. Yes.
And that's about it. Had a weird dream that I was Subaru and Hokuto's sister, or something like that, and it was really weird. There was more to it than that, but I don't remember anything else. Ah well.
Okay, back to poking around the net and waiting some more before attempting to check out my new room! Ja!
