Aug. 19th, 2003 11:51 amO.o Riiiight... Do I look like Shindou Shuichi to you? No? GOOD! I don't even *like* Yuki! :P
That aside... Yesterday was only slightly productive, but definitely involved a lot of running around. ^^; Found black pants for Kamui, because mine are all just too girly and clingy, then went to Pearl and got stuff for the wings. I love foam. I will rule the world with foam. Mwahahaha!
Went BACK to Pearl soon afterwards 'cause Lisa wanted a photo album, then we went to the MASSIVE Borders in the city because she wanted books for her trip, and I have that gift certificate. I declined to get the big LOTR book until *after* I move, but I got the first volume of Dragon Knights, Kushiel's Dart (which I've been eyeing for a year), and The Iron Ring (yeah Lloyd Alexander!). Plus that was only about half the gift certificate, meaning I still have enough to buy the LOTR book after I'm settled in Green. Whee.
Came home, worked on Kamui's wings while Lisa and Jin packed, until Monica called - yay! We talked for a while until the poor girl's phone died. ^^;; Apparently it won't charge while you're talking on it, so plugging it into the wall is of no use. Ah well. Hopefully we'll talk again soon; it was *really* good getting to talk to her again. I played with the wings a bit more - they're all done now, I just have to get a good way to attach them to myself, which I should be able to figure out tonight.
There are SO not enough hours in the day. @_@ ::sighs:: So many things to do, so little time! Started my new Lackey book, which I'd gotten when I hung out with GTS before he left, and it's pretty good. It's basically a retelling of Swan Lake - kind of how The Mists of Avalon works, so although it's not necessarily completely an original story, it's pretty neat. Especially given the mood Tutu still has me in. ^^ Oh man, I do *not* want to make a Princess Tutu costume, let alone wear it...
Yes, and that's that. Gotta call Budget about renting a minivan next week... yeah, and here's a plea to anyone in the Cambridge/Boston area:
I need to move next week. Presumably next Tuesday, since Monday I'm going to be burned out from Shoujocon. If you help me move, I will buy you food. And worship you. Forever. I'm going to rent a minivan and move most of the stuff myself, but there are a few things I can't do by myself, and Jin and Lisa will still be in Israel. Help?
Yes, there's my tiny desperate plea. And now off to lunch... er, really more taking care of things. Yepu. Ja!
