Don't diss the sonic!

ad_exiaWell, we have reached that point in the year where it thunderstorms once a day. Or, well, it would appear so at least, since that's been the pattern for almost a week now. Not that it's a bad thing... except that it always happens when I want to run (e.g., a couple days ago), when I need to run errands, or when they're waxing the floors of the office and I have to leave but it's pouring rain outside. Because that happened the other day. I know you're trying to get your job done early, Building Services, by waxing the floor at 5pm, but guess what. Astronomers work past 5pm. >> Alas, they cannot work when you are making loud noise or waxing the floor so they can't get out of their offices (or so they can't sit in their offices). They didn't even do a good job - they ruined one of Peter's chairs and left wax drippings in the middle of our office. Bah. D:
Doctor Whooooo, WHY DID YOU KILL RORY? ADSJAIFNUEIFA I LIKED HIM. BOO ON YOU. BOO, I SAY. He and Amy were so cute. ;_;
Heh, actually, that episode ended and Robert goes, "Man, and I thought Mickey had it bad."
Argh. SO SAD. :x
Well. I still really, really like this season. Maybe this change was what they needed or something, but in general it's felt very put-together in terms of continuity (not like the second season or even parts of the third), and I like both The Doctor and Amy so, so much. AND RORY.
I think maybe the key is that, well, Diana and I always seemed to think the problem with Moffat was that he wanted his characters to be the best, to be awesome, and so they were - they were always the most well-written and deep characters in his episodes. And, well, now that The Doctor and Amy are his characters... well, it just transfers over and they're fantastic. Maybe that's it. Maybe it's something else. But I don't really care, so long as the writing and the characters stay so awesome~ I don't even know how many episodes are left (I haven't been counting), but I just know it's far too few. D:
Let's see... I suppose there's not too much else going on; long weekend, of course, so tomorrow is a combination barbecue and D&D session, though we might end up making characters for the Star Wars game instead (or also?). Also, HBO is showing the second half of The Pacific, I might have to get Nathan to turn on his TV while we eat said barbecue. :D; We went to see Shrek 4 yesterday, which was really pretty cute, and I believe Prince of Persia is slated for Tuesday. I've been seeing tons of previews on Disney Channel (well, what else do I watch? XD) and I'm looking forward to that. I remember watching Jennie play the game! Ooh, and also, while we were at the movie theater we saw a giant display for Voyage of the Dawn Treader, so it is indeed for reals coming out December 10th. Woo!
Okay, that's probably about it for real. All I did today was sleep until 2 and clean and pick up stuff for cookies (I'm making them for tomorrow, though they won't be as good as when Stacie makes them, of course D:) and now here I am at Starbucks, with my dark cherry mocha and my pumpkin bread and I'm gonna be a writer for a bit. Or something~ :D
