ad_exiaSo! Now it's time for a Boston update~ Starting with my arrival on Wednesday afternoon, after a two-hour nap from 3-5am Tuesday night/Wednesday morning before driving to the Orlando airport. I really need to fly JetBlue more often - they are AWESOME. Tons of legroom (well, more than the usual, anyway XD) and FREE SNACKS and COKE ZERO and TV. Woo!
I immediately go to PLUG IN THE FAN YAY... But. There is no power. Uh. I flip the switch on the power strip... no go. Maybe she unplugged the power strip? No... Maybe the room switch has to be flipped... ah, there is no light when I do this. Hm. That is odd. Come to think of it, I don't hear the fridge running...
Oh my God, there is a mold metropolis living in the fridge. It's clear now that there hasn't been power in here for a good long time. D: Time to call the sister! But I can't use her land line because - right, no power to the handset, but that's really annoying because there is pretty much no reception in her apartment except for almost leaning out the kitchen window, which gets me one intermittent bar. So I keep having to trek downstairs and out the front door of the building to have a decent conversation, which is a bit much, if you ask me. XD Ah, the cellular age...
So she calls the landlord, who says to flip the breaker... no go. I tried it about fifteen times, same result. No power. Ugh. Apparently the landlord said he'd be right over... this was at 3:10, and I called Jennie at 4 to see if anyone was actually coming. She called him again and suddenly he says he'll be there at five...
Thankfully he did actually show up and claimed something was switched off in the building (uh, okay...) but he fixed it and now I have power! Yay! But of course, this left the disaster which was the fridge, which clearly needed to be cleaned out...
You know you want to see it. But just in case you don't, I'll just post links to the pictures so you can choose whether you want to see the moldy, maggoty paradise that I got to clean out. XD Kids, NEVER let this happen to you!

Anyway, a whole bottle of Lysol bathroom cleaner and most of a paper towel roll later, I didn't feel like going to the grocery store so I just ordered a pizza and watched an episode of Enterprise (yep, I've finally picked that up again, woo~) and vegged. Then I crashed around 1 and didn't wake up the next day until four. ::facepalm:: I think it was a combination of being exhausted and hot. Anyway, I did get out of bed in time to eat, clean up, and make it to dinner for Destra's bachelorette party, which was much fun with tapas and karaoke.They even had Jonas Brothers. I claim all of those girls brought it upon themselves by making me sing something. So there.
This morning - er, well, afternoon, I got up around 12:30 and headed over to Harvard Square to pick up some presents and a frozen matcha from Tealuxe, yum~ Then I stopped at Star Market on the way back for some food for the rest of the week and managed to get it back here without too much trouble. noctaval. :D And then I actually got most of Anakin's tunic put together (I'm aiming to have all of that plus the belt done before I leave for the wedding tomorrow, we'll see if I can get up IN THE AM PLEASE, SELF.
And randomly, someone's puppy is home alone or something and it has been whining loudly since I got here. Now, I feel somewhat bad for the poor thing, but it's also really started to get on my nerves. :x Said person needs to come home and pay attention to their dog! It kept waking me up last night. Thankfully it appears to have stopped this evening. I hope it stays stopped, as it means both a happy dog and a happy Ali-chan.
Okay, off to pin the band on Anakin's tunic (maybe) and (more likely) read some more SamxBee~ XD
