Juuuust about done trying to justify my need for UF to pay my tuition in the spring. Of course, I actually haven't gotten any federal loans since undergrad, and now I'm worried they won't even consider me since I don't have a current FAFSA report. No, I really do need money, guys! D: Hopefully this will all be moot, anyway, and I'll be able to get a TA in the spring. Because, tuition aside, I'd really like to get paid. :x Especially with the vet bills I need to take care of.
... And apparently I am also getting mayo on my mousepad. Whoops.
Hm. I realize now that I may not have anything more interesting to say than that. Which is really kind of sad, but I suppose I haven't really been up to all that much. Just working on the stuff for this fellowship, and praying that Trip isn't dying - though I think it is, which means I need to get my butt on poking our IT guys to help me with that, because I'd really like to not lose all of my data, plz. But of course, that requires talking to people, which I hate doing, but I suppose it's better that than not being able to ls into my Chandra data directory, because right now I can't. Urgh. Clearly naming your hard drive after someone who dies is not the way to go. ;_; Maybe I should name the next one Methos. (At least I think Vicki still has money to buy a new hard drive, should it actually be failing. And she's in email contact, so I can get it dealt with sooner rather than later.)
... Yeah, okay, that really wasn't interesting. Um. Well, the Fourth was pretty good - okay, I slept through half of it, but Nathan and I ended up going to the fireworks up in Alachua, which was... like a 40-minute show, much longer and more impressive than I'd been expecting, so that was pretty cool! And much closer than Jacksonville. Plus there was Blue Highway beforehand, and how can you go wrong with delicious pizza? Monday was episode 3 of True Blood, since apparently episode 4 doesn't air until this week, who knew?
Aaaand that's really about it for now, so I shall go back to my lunch and finish that up so I can reboot Trip and print out the stuff for this application.
