Post-Halloween = T minus 16 days to Japan @.@

Maaaan. Planning a trip when all of the people going aren't in the same place is kind of hella hard. ^^;; My mom has about a million things to do OTHER than plan for Japan, and I've been busy with randomness myself, so it's insane. o.o; Plus she's so foreign to the language that while I can throw "shinkansen" and "ryokan" around like whatever, she forgets what a shinkansen is every time she reads the word and I have to remind her. ^^;; Not bad, because I totally understand, just difficult! I am really going to sit down and look through my guidebook this weekend. I swear. For real. :D; Whit, we are going to try to get to Kyoto, though apparently it's prime leaf-viewing time or something so it's proving a little interesting. I'll let you know, we should have some kind of plan by the end of the week! Mom doesn't care if I meet up with you, but I don't know your schedule or whatever so we'll have to see if it can work out for you. <3

But! In the meantime. OMG. PEOPLE CAME TO MY PARTY! :DDD I had a last-minute Halloween party yesterday, since no one else was having one, and tons of people showed up! It was very exciting! And lots of fun~ I was just so happy people came and had a good time. ^_^ Chris Packham came! So randomly awesome. XD And that there was enough food and candy and pop, etc. Valerie compiled some pictures here; we had a mini costume contest and everything, it was so cool! Highlights included Wonder Woman and Batman, the "Vegetarian Reaver" XDDD, and Mystique~! Plus Diana in a Marie Antoinette dress that took her two days to make and looked like awesome~ And Daisy in her Sakura!! I love that dress, it's so cute~ :D

All this, of course, after four of us had been half the cast of Firefly to work that day. XD; (On the bottom of that page with the pictures~) I was River, Valerie was Jayne, Scott was Mal, and Dave was Simon. It was awesome. Valerie and Dave and I went to Larry's for lunch, and as we left, Dave was like, "Hey, it would be really cool if someone recognized us, you know?" And two blocks later this girl came up to us and told us we were awesome and that she loved Firefly. :D That just made our day~ (Well, that and my stealing all of Jayne's guns to kill my well-meaning brother~ ::innocent!::)

Someone ordered a Jayne hat from this-land!! :D

Tomorrow promises to be nothing if not hectic. I'm proctoring Bo's Planetary Science test 'cause he's out of town, which is no biggie but just something I have to remember to do. Plus there's anime club and I also have to go to a CLASSC (College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Student Council) meeting because someone from our Graduate Astronomy Organization has to go to every meeting so we switch off and this week is my turn. Next week will be crazy too, what with the transit of Mercury on Wednesday and we're having a public outreach-y "Astronomy Museum Night" on Thursday. Much fun. Really. o.o;

... Nooot that any of you care, I'm sure. ^^; So! I'll just be going now. :D;
