Packing Up
Jan. 7th, 2004 07:58 pmJust about done packing. Heh, of course we get a new keyboard *right* before I leave. Oh well. ^^;
Leaving home is always really weird. As much as I always want to get out of here, I still dislike leaving. There are times I do like being here. But I'm still excited to be getting back to Boston (hopefully at a reasonable hour tomorrow).
My dad actually wanted to watch the other two episodes of Last Exile on the first DVD. ::punches air with fist:: Wohoo!! That certainly made *me* happy. I think he thinks Lavie is really funny. ^^ She certainly seems to amuse him. My mom didn't really get it, but then, she never does. -_-;; She seemed to understand more of LE than Escaflowne, at least. She wondered why they didn't have any advanced technology other than the vanships, so I got to launch into a happy tirade about the evils of the Guild. Or, at least, most of the Guild.
Jennie, of course, can't seem to be bothered to stick around for anything even if it is my last night here. We were supposed to go hang out with Amy, but no, Jennie didn't have time, so I feel sad because I didn't get to see Amy before we left. Oh well, I bet she's pretty busy packing and all, and I'll be sure to talk to her once she gets all settled in at school. Got to see Mike, too: Jen, Will, your headbands are done and will be delivered to you by the easiest means possible (Jen = mail, Will = at club).
Oh. And the car *did* eat my CD. Gr, stupid car, I shake my fist at you. ::shakes fist:: So I had to go buy a new RoTK OST, but at least I got the LAST Sam/Frodo version that was at Best Buy. XD Note to self: NEVER do anything that could end in losing that CD again!
Eh, at least today was mostly a better day. Dentist appointment, then packing, but by bringing that extra bag, everything fits quite well. I *could* fit all my stuff into one bag, but it's easier with two. Only problem is, I have *four* bags because the sewing machine is getting carried on the plane with me. So two checked bags, two carry-ons. The only heavy one is the sewing machine, but still. I'm definitely taking a cab back to campus. o.o;; They were supposed to change our locks (which would have been a real hassle) but ended up not. 'Nother good thing.
Ugh. Parents still fighting. Maybe I really AM ready to go back to Boston. ><;;
