ad_exiaWhoo, it's snowing today! Okay actually that's a bad thing, because the roads are terrible and scary and while it's not 2 out anymore, 28 means it's almost slushy. But I think the snow should stick around 'till Christmas? It's supposed to be almost 40 tomorrow, but 30 on Thursday.
So I was sitting here making a list of New Years resolutions... I usually don't make any, and these are really more just things I'd like to work on regardless of the timing, but I figured I'd put them down so maybe I wouldn't forget.
- Write more! (I think I've kept my previous "resolution" of trying to write at least something almost every week, though!) I would definitely like to actively look for more markets for my writing, though.
- Be kind more. I suppose that speaks for itself? The world always needs more random kindness.
- Get rid of junk - as in a bit ofspring winter cleaning, I suppose. I have a lot of things I'm not using that I could sell or donate to charity. In fact, I have a couple boxes' worth of things to take to Goodwill. I should get that done. I especially need to go through my clothes and books.
- Find a work ethic! I mean, I do plenty of work, but I also get plenty distracted at work. I need to buckle down and be a little more hardcore; I haven't been this last month or so, because I hate X-rays. But they'll never go away if I keep ignoring them. :x
- Do things more immediately - I really like to make lists of things to do, but then sometimes I am terrible about crossing things off. I've been better, lately, but I need to keep it up!
Uh... other than that, I finished decorating the tree (the garland needed some help and while I'm not really good at things like that, I'd like to think I improved it?) and I even got on the ladder to put ornaments on the top. XD No star, though, because the tip of the tree just touches the ceiling, so. XD
I am also about halfway through Triple Zero - I think I like it better than the first book, though maybe that's just because I have a better feel for the characters now? I really like the plot, and Etain and Darman are my new OTP. <333 I want to write fic. XD But I should not. I should finish my Merlin fic, is what I should do, so I can write something for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
merlin_flashfic; I think the deadline was extended until next week, but I should check. It would be sad if I missed it. D: But I almost don't feel like writing, so we'll see if that actually happens or not.
