Astronomism is what I do~ :D;; Or something like that, anyway. XD; Um. Basically it means a lot of staring at computers writing code, in the end, but it's some prettyhandwavy cool science, so~ And besides, in what other profession do you get to use Sextractor on fields, hear talks about galaxy harassment, and learn about theories involving squarks, sneutrinos, and sleptons? I love my job. Most of the time. XD;
Boybands... uh. I think I never quite got them? I mean, there was this point in my life that I remember well. All of my friends liked this group, New Kids On the Block. Perhaps you've heard of them. XD; They had NKOtB birthday parties and sang all their songs. And all I knew was that these guys weren't that cool-looking, I didn't like their music, and I thought they were dumb. XD; And that's pretty much my take on that. XD; I have, however, been to NSYNC and Hanson concerts - I was taking my little sister, but it wasn't like I didn't at least enjoy the music. And I do like The Jonas Brothers. They're cute, in that "Oh my God are they really ten years younger than me? ;_;" sort of way~ :D;
I <3 cosplay~ I don't know why, exactly, other than I've always loved pretending I was someone that wasn't me. XD; I really enjoy sewing and making things as accurately as I can, though sometimes that can be rather hard. >>; I'm much better at sewing and not so great at props or anything involving things that are not fabric or fabric-related. Which really hurts with some of the more complicated costumes, but I try! I'm actually really proud of my Van!sword. :D; That's another thing - I cosplay based on how much I like a character, not on how popular or cool an anime is. (This is why I am ALWAYS RYOMA. :D;) So therefore I usually don't get recognized or anything, but I have fun being characters I like so I don't mind so much~ Even though it is fun when people like my costumes. ^_^ EXCEPT for when I get the kids' menu at Denny's. XD;
Dragons are cool~ I mean, I'm not really crazy about dragons or anything like some people are, but I concede that they are neat. And they can be pretty, depending~ I like the Chinese-style dragons moreso than the European-style, I think, but either kind is really okay in the end. I have yet to read the Pern books, though I keep meaning to. One of these days.
Etymology is neat. :D I mean, the way words originate and change is really fascinating. It's not something I think about a lot, but usually whenever I look up a word in the dictionary I take the time to read about its origin.
Flying spaceships are, I believe, muchly preferable to those that do not fly. XD;
Gorgeous men (like Sean Maher):

... Yeah. There is absolutely nothing I can add to that. <3
Harry Kim is adorable~ He has always been one of my favorite characters on Voyager, and I just love his best-buds-relationship with Tom Paris. XD It's so sad the poor boy can't seem to keep a girlfriend, alas~ He'd be a good catch, as far as I'm concerned!
Illnesses from third-world countries... uh. Well, they're not good. :x I read The Hot Zone when I was in high school, and I thought it was pretty fascinating. Much better than the one random Robin Cook book I remember reading (yeah, it was so good I forgot the title... >>;). I still remember a lot about ebola, and it's still pretty scary. I do, however, have a giant plush microbe of it hanging on my monitor! So... yeah. Illnesses are bad. Let's cure them! :D;
Jayne and hats go together like peanut butter and jelly~ Jayne likes hats. He has a cowboy hat, a pilot-snoopy-cap, and, of course, his very cunning hat. I even have a very cunning hat! Valerie learned how to knit just to make it for me and I feel very special. <3 Um, in addition, Jayne is just... well, special. In that, "Wow, did you seriously just say that?" sort of way. What would Firefly be without him? XD
Ka-pwned: Well, I'm assuming that's when you've not only been pwned, you've been Ka-pwned. XD That is some major pwnage. I feel like there was something more significant to this when I was actually given it... maybe Valerie and I happened to look it up on Urban Dictionary that day. In any case, I think I ought to insert it into my everyday vocabulary, wouldn't that be fabulous? XD
Lyra is the main character in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. I usually don't like female main characters as much as male main characters, but Lyra was pretty kickass. She didn't take crap from anybody, regardless of whether they were a kid or an adult or an armored bear.
Martha Jones is... well, not all that bad, really. I didn't have a big problem with her, except for the fact that she claimed she was in love with the Doctor when she didn't really act like it very much. I always thought of it more as hero worship than love... Well. Anyway, she seems to be doing fine after the fact, so I suppose that's good? She doesn't always seem very good at thinking for herself - she tends to follow orders blindly which is kind of not cool sometimes. But yeah, in the end, she's not as bad as all that. She's okay in my book, though I can't really profess to think about her all that much. ^^;
Narnia is cool~ I admit I've only read maybe two of the books, one being The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I think I at least started A Horse And His Boy though I don't remember a lick of it so I may not have even finished it. Regardless, I love the moviesand Peter is hot, and look forward to more of them! :D
Ostentatious is... a big word? XD; I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to say about it. Um. Atobe is ostentatious? XD There you go.
Pluto is cool. Well, actually it's very cold. XD So cold that most people thing the atmosphere should freeze and snow down to the surface when it gets far enough away from the sun, though last I heard there wasn't any direct evidence of that yet. But I did spent a whole summer getting astrometry on stars it was going to pass in front of, and it's a pretty coolplanet dwarf planet in my book. Plus, I think Nix is one of the cutest names for a moon EVAR. <3
I haven't been on a lot of exciting quests in my life... usually they involve a lot of internet searching for something I want, so I stay rather stationary. XD; I do remember going on a quest to find the Treasure Planet soundtrack in Boston... that was hard to track down, let me tell you! Usually my quests probably involve things like fabric or shoes or props for costumes, though~ I can't say I always come back victorious, but I think I do more often than not. :D;
Ryoma... where am I supposed to start with Ryoma? XD; He's a little tennis-playing brat and I have no clue why I love him as much as I do, but I do~ (It may have something to do with the fact that I think he probably has the sexiest voice on the planet. He could read me the phone book and I would die happy~ <3) Anyway, he's short and scrawny and really freaking cute and I don't care if he's a brat~ He always speaks his mind and I think he's a really good kid underneath. Plus he has an awesome cat!
Um... I'm not sure what to say on superstitions. They're... interesting? Sometimes they're stupid, but not always. I can't say I'm particularly superstitious or anything, though. If I break a mirror, I clean it up, and if I spill salt, I clean it up. XD I don't walk under ladders because that's just asking for it to fall on your head, though!
The Tyler family is utterly kickass. XD They are dysfunctional and freaking crazy and I love them all, even Pete~ I'm actually really glad everything worked out for them in the end, everyone deserved that and I think it rocks. Yay for alternate universes? Seriously, they may be wacky, but when it all comes down to it they are one of the coolest families evar~
Underwear is good. Here, have a picture of Trip and Malcolm in their underwear. :D

Variable hair color is a good thing. Wouldn't want it to get too boring, right? :D; I haven't dyed my hair anything crazy in a while, just highlights, but seriously, boring hair is for the rest of my life. Fun hair is for now plz! :D; (And people like Tonks, who can change their hair color on command, totally rock~ I'm actually surprised no one got a wacky hair color on Star Trek ever, that would've been cool! I mean, half of them wore wigs anyway, so. D:)
Walruses are big. And they have big tusks. :D;; Um, I saw one at the aquarium in Chicago once? They seem pretty smart, and are trainable. Have I mentioned they're big?
Xander Harris is one of the coolest people evar. He totally never got enough credit in Buffy for just about anything. He's always ready to go with enthusiasm and a witty comeback. He was so, so important to that group of people. I think if he was on Captain Planet he would have the Heart power, only he would be all dorky about it. XD But that really is his power - to see to the heart of matters and make people see what's inside of them. Xander ROCKS. <3
Yes!Yes!Yes! is a song? XD By, like, all of the Tenipuri actors... I forget what they sang it for, but Jen and I watched at like three o'clock in the morning with no subtitles and that was just... well. Special. XD But I actually kind of like the song. I have it, if anybody wants it? XD;
Zoos are cool~ I like going to zoos! Especially the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago at Christmastime, because it's all snowy and they deck the WHOLE thing out with millions of lights and you can get hot chocolate and sing to the animals and there are ice scupltures and Christmas trees and I love it~
