"The saucer was even larger on the inside than it looked from the outside, like a tardis."

I realized that if I had started this book back when I'd meant to, I wouldn't have gotten that reference. |D; WHEE, this book wins. (Also, does anyone know what 'lorries' are? Are they trucks? D: I don't speak British, help!)

In the meantime, I'm not even going to ask why poor Henry is being abducted by aliens in a book about faeries. I'm sure it will become clear later. That's how these books work. It's funny - I mean, I'm riveted to them in a different way than I usually am riveted to books... not because I'm in love with the universe or even most of the characters (though Pyrgus is funny and you've gotta respect Blue), but because Herbie Brennan never fails to totally, utterly, and completely surprise me. I never have any clue what's going to happen. XD

I'm sad I'm finished with Ironside, though. It was good. Really good, in the same way Tithe was. Holly Black needs to make her books longer! (I'm going to go through the Spiderwick Chronicles faster than fast, I'm thinking.) It was so short, and yet you just kind of fell back into that world so easily, like barely any time had passed at all. I liked that. I also liked how she crossed it over with Valiant too. I want to be a writer!!!

Okay, lunchtime should probably be over, and no one wants to hear me babble about books they haven't read. D: Back to work!

Edit: I just got an email advertising a conference called "The Local Bubble and Beyond." Oh, astronomers~ And yes, I do know what the local bubble is.

Double Edit: Haha! Pyrgus Malvae is the latin name for the grizzled skipper butterfly. Oh, I really love this author. It so sounded like a name! Poor, poor Pyrgus. XD;

Edit times three: OMG I WANT THESE. XD They are awesome.
