Cosplay-ness, etc.

ad_exiaSo I have come to the conclusion that it is just not possible to change the color of that suit. o.o I left it in for an hour this morning (read: sat in there stirring the suit in the dye for an hour) and it's darker brown, but still lighter than I'd like. Agh. I give up. Claus is just going to have a suit that's a little lighter brown than it should be. End of story. I still think it's brown in the first place, but I concede that it's a much darker (and somewhat greyer) brown than the suit I have. I think it looks okay when I put all the pieces together, actually, but I just can't use black for the seams on the suit - it's too much of a contrast and really stands out. I think I'm just gonna make the gloves from the feet, since they're already the same color and I don't need feet in the thing anyway.
I really, really, really want to go to JoAnn's and get the stuff I need to keep working, but I have no car. AHH. I need a full yard of tan vinyl for the harness, and I also want to get some of that seal brown (or just dark brown) bias tape for the suit's seams because black is just too dark, as I mentioned before. I *may* poke around and see if there's some fabric that's a better color for the suit, and just make it, I dunno. I have to get there first, and this seems to be a major problem, what with no car. Maybe Stacie won't mind a quick stop there tomorrow; I know exactly what I need, I swear!! I'm still waiting to hear from my Dad to see if he can come pick me up Monday or Tuesday from your place, but it sounds like he can...
Went to dinner last night with Jennie and Dad at Outback. Also watched 5 eps of Mirage of Blaze and I only have one more left until I run out of DVDs. Skuld, you'll like episode 7 ^_^ - aside from that, it's mostly angst, but *I* really like it and that's all that matters since they are, after all, my DVDs. I still gotta get the fourth one, but again, I have no car. Can't go get it.
Well, the fact that I'm POOR doesn't help either. -_-;
Jennie and Mike went to some costume shop downtown, but left without waking me up so I didn't get the chance to go. Oh well, I didn't really want to go downtown anyway. But I was supposed to give the cat her shot around noon, and I couldn't because I need someone to *hold* her. It'll have to wait until Jennie gets home.
Yeargh. Maybe I'll go watch that last ep of MoB. Narita reminds me of an older Hisoka, only nice. ^^; Even if they are probably supposed to be the same age; they sure draw older-looking high school students in that show.
