Whoever said astronomers were boring has obviously not yet seen this.

No, we're not boring... just incredibly lame. XD

Today and tomorrow are going to be crazy. I've spent nearly the whole time I've been here (okay, that's only been since 11:45 since I was DEAD but still) having students make up labs. I have class in about 20 minutes, then a colloquium that I don't really want to go to. << Then I have to go home, go running, and scavenge for food before hiking back here at 8:15 for Public Night. On the plus side, if all the students I have coming tonight come ON TIME I won't have to stay more than an hour. One can always hope...

Tomorrow is chess match practice, followed by a movie at Audra's place if I get back in time (which I hope I do). Plus, I just realized that I have two homework assignments due in two weeks - right before the ISM test, so I'd better get working on those THIS weekend. @.@ And I really need to get some more work done on Heihachi; I worked on the vest a bit yesterday, and now it's all hemmed except for the sleeves and I'm in the process of putting that wrappy panel-thing on the front. Then it's time to make the "bags" that will turn into all of those pockets. And then I get to make his hat. ::cowers in fear::

That's really about it. Been exhausted and very sore and headachy for a long time now. -_- Though the Advil I took yesterday actually mostly worked - ah, sweet relief! Maybe if I make an effort to sit up *straight* one of these days my neck will think about forgiving me.

Actually... I skipped the colloquium to run, because it was looking ominous outside and I don't really care about the stuff he was talking about. And since it *is* indeed ominous outside, I don't have to go to Public Night.

It's an anime thing. (Heh, see, you know better when it comes to me.) It's kind of like a big play, with anime characters as the chess pieces.

Unfortunately, I totally suck at actual chess in real life. It's because anything involving strategy is lost on me. Maybe someday I'll practice and get good at it!

Astronomy isn't boring!! I really wanted to pursue astronomy since I was 5 years old, till senior year of high school. I had taught myself so much that I was really bored with the class I took. Also, there weren't that many schools that I wanted to go to, who seemed to offer good astronomy programs. I was also told there wasn't much money in the field. Oh well. I still enjoy reading about astrophysics and quantum theory though.
