The world is a carousel of seiyuu
Nov. 11th, 2004 09:40 pmSo I decided today that yes, I really would like to actually get around to watching the rest of Peacemaker Kurogane (I saw up to 8 and stopped at least half a year ago because I do that). And wow, what a colorful cornucopia of voice acting it is. Just a few examples of people that I recognized well enough to pause the episode and check:
- Tetsu is Taichi Dan. I think maybe I knew this at some point but obviously forgot it.
- Tatsu is Sano! Er, Horo Horo... er, Jirou... etc.
- *snicker* Saitoh is Nanjiroh. I thought for a second maybe he was Shinji (I dunno, maybe it's just 'cause he looks a little like Shinji from the right angle) but no, he's the older, ecchier Echizen.
- Yeah, the scary dude training Suzu is Atobe. Fuuma. Yeah. We'd recognize him anywhere.
- Shinpachi is ENKI!!! O///O
Right. I'm sure anyone who ever cared already knows this, but I live under a rock and learn these things long after everyone else.
In real life news... no school today. Or tomorrow. W00t, four-day weekend! Today I decided that I was doing absolutely nothing school-related, and have thus far done a rather good job. ^^; I was productive though - I went to WalMart and the grocery store, and I did my laundry, and I cleaned, and... stuff. And watched four episodes of the aforementioned voice acting fun. This weekend I'm planning on getting a sewing machine (my grandparents sent me money for one as a bday present) so I'm very excited about that. I suddenly want to actually make stuff again. ^^; I'm not sure what I'll start with, but I would like to sew something this weekend. We'll see how long this industrious feeling lasts. >>;
The fishie is much better, which also makes me glad. He lost quite a bit of his fins, but what's left looks healthy and I hope the missing parts will grow back. o.o;; Anyway, I'm just glad he's better!
Aaaand... for the rest of the weekend I have to work on those papers/presentations. Argh, I'm still having a really tough time finding a spectroscopy paper to do the report on for Fred's class. The Saturn paper I was looking at didn't pan out; I have one other on Fe lines in quasars, but it's 20 pages long. I don't think I can survive 20 pages of scientific paper. ::drowns::
