ad_exiaNow I can return to being a happily well-adjusted human being. Or something like that. ^^; We shall see. There is the small matter of it being ABSOLUTELY FREEZING outside. ><** Which has made it magically absolutely freezing in our room. You know, I thought we'd been through this already. ::sighs::
So... let's see. Tomorrow is the 12.445 presentation and the supposed 12.515 presentation (that I DON'T want to do, so I just might... not), and then I am DONE until the 15th, which is when the 12.515 project is due. So I'll have to work all week on that (as I haven't really worked on it *yet*) but still, that gives me hope that I'll be able to apply to UCLA on time. Yay. I think.
Went shopping yesterday, got a few presents and also some books, because I didn't ever own A Swiftly Tilting Planet and I just realized that An Acceptable Time involved more Murrays. So I had to get it. You know what? It's really funny, re-reading them, because I realized how much there *is* going on between Meg and Calvin. It's totally cute, really, but I can't say I ever remembered him *kissing* her in the first book. o.O Heh, and he's a cute redhead just like those Weasley twins, too. ^^; Go Meg!
Right. So... Started A Wizard of Earthsea because I can't remember how many people have told me to read it, Steve being among its biggest supporters. Can't say it's the best thing I've ever read - LeGuin certainly doesn't write like a woman, can't say if that's good or bad, but then Arthur Golden (who wrote Memoirs of a Geisha) certainly didn't write like a man, either. But it's enough to keep me interested, and the book's not that long. I got the last book of the four at the used bookstore, but was apparently too dumb to get the two in between at the bookstore when I got the L'Engle stuff. ^^;; I'll fix that eventually. And I have to find my copy of Many Waters. But that's at home.
Other than that, not much going on. I slept a lot yesterday - I was amazingly able to fall asleep with Ummul on the phone, but the TV still woke me up so I watched Inu Yasha in the kitchen and by the time that was done she'd gone to bed.
I don't want to work on a 12.515 presentation. I don't have anything to present. Gr.
What a week. And at the end of it all, I have to watch the end of Last Exile. o.o The Ryoma plushie may have to come with me for support. I'm not sure I'll be able to handle something that important alone.
Oh, and I need a new icon. Guess it's gotta be Naruto... must go hunt down a good pic. Watch me do that instead of my homework. Whee.
