Okay, so! The long-awaited (well, maybe) Dragon*Con report, complete with pictures! Oh man, this is going to take me quite a while to write. Guess I'd better get started.
Well, let's see. I drove up with Nathan (in tandem with Scott, who took his own car) on Thursday; we arrived around 5 or so, I think, and unloaded ourselves and met up with Valerie. Nathan and Valerie and I went to get in line for tickets while Scott went to the airport to pick people up. Tickets took maybe three hours to get (D:) during which we were very hungry, but such is the way of life. Afterwards there was the scarfing down of dinner and the watching of Stargate: The Ark of Truth in our hotel room.
Despite the fact that we had a giant flat-screen TV, we had to watch it on Tyler's computer. XD

Later, Tyler dried Valerie's hair with IONS:

Friday I dressed as Gwen from Merlin and took a few pictures before we picked Jen up at the MARTA station~

Valerie was Sarah from Chuck, so we were the NBC contingent with plushies. XD

Thankfully the pre-reg line was significantly shorter; Carly and Jen and I (and Nathan) were able to make it to the Enterprise panel with Anthony Montgomery and John Billingsley. It was a hilarious panel, and a worthy panel of being Nathan's first ever. I wrote down so many hilarious quotes. XD

Then it was time for a costume change: Stargate and Firefly! (We dressed Carly up as Jayne, whee~)

Okay, who gave River the gun?

We then went to the Voyager panel with one Mr. Garrett Wang, who is hilarious and awesome and totally a nerd (he's seen the new movie eight times XDD).
ACTION KIM!

There was much running around then, and we went to see
tropicanaomega in the live-action Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog before we had dinner and made one more change to go costume-watching for the rest of the evening.
Ghetto Percy Jackson cosplay! XD

I may have been theonly first person to ever do it, though I did see two people wearing Camp Half-Blood shirts while we were line for Dr. Horrible earlier that day. I think I might have been more excited about that than they were, though... D:
Saturday started early, much to some dismay.

But it was required, as we were marching in the parade as Franny and Lewis.
Meet the Robinsons!

A couple of little kids even knew who we were, win! The Disney people were marching with the Young Adult Literature section, though, which was kind of weird and meant we were trailing all the Harry Potter people... Also, it was just us two and a group of Disney villains, but they had everyone (even Hades and Izma!), and the two stepsisters from Cinderella had The Prince with them and were running all over stealing the glass slipper and hiding in the crowd. They were pretty awesome~
After that, it was time to PAINT MYSELF ORANGE WHEE. (Seriously, much thanks to Jennie and Jen for helping me out!) I didn't finish in time to make it into the PACKED Venture Bros panel, alas, but I got the play-by-play from Nathan afterwards so I'll live. Besides, I'm just glad to know it was so freaking popular! And there was a People's Republic of Venture table at which I got tag flags/bookmarks, stickers, and a pin, so all was well in the end.
Anyway, right. Ahsoka! I wandered around with Jen (dressed as atotally fabulous truly outrageous Jem, woo!) for most of the morning before we met up with Carly, and later on Scott and Troppy for some picture-taking fun. (Jennie also took the last few pictures with her kickass camera, much thanks~) All these little kids were uber-excited and wanted their picture with me. XD Plus one little girl even wanted my autograph~ I think the only other time I was ever this popular was when I was Ed. :O (I also think I was the only Ahsoka? The only one I saw, anyway. Weeeeird! Come on, people, where's the Padawan love?)
There were GIANT DICE. If you rolled a twenty you got a prize, and I almost did, but not quite. XD:

Anyway; I actually got Anthony Montgomery and John Billingsley's autographs in Ahsoka, which was pretty entertaining. XD Afterwards I attempted to de-orange myself (in which process I kind of turned the shower curtains and a towel and washcloth orange, eheh) and turned into Kaylee in time for pizza and the Shindig!
In the Westin (this is seriously my favorite picture from the con, no contest <3):

Our Firefly/Whedon group!

At the Shindig, we found the rest of our crew:

Then wacky fun ensued. XD

Also, THERE WAS A BEE OMG. Carly and I are SO doing NEST next year. We even bought the patches after a bit of a hunt in the dealers' room~

Without flash, because his eyes glowed:

Sunday was Trek costumes for the Kate Mulgrew panel. (Also? I was still washing orange off. XD I think it took about three showers in total. And I was worried about the stuff rubbing off. Pshaw.) Anyway, Kate Mulgrew is one awesome lady, all about women in science and awesome things like that~ I really enjoyed the panel and was looking forward to getting her autograph and talking to her, but apparently she left right after so I never got the chance. Since I'd bought a ticket for the autograph they're going to send it to me, though I won't get to talk to her. Ah well.
First, though, we found something that looked a little strange...

At the panel:

Then it was time to get in line for the Patrick Stewart panel! We met up with Scott, Tiffany, and Nathan in line (wrapped somewhere around the Mariott XD) and took pictures as well as had a thoroughly nerdy discussion about the Poisson statistics of line-crashing. Yes. We're that hopeless.
When you're a redshirt, you gotta bring protection!

Uh... this doesn't register...

Oh God! Zombies! Somebody beam me up I don't want to diiiiiie!

PATRICK STEWART~ :DDD (Who was awesome and funny and a great speaker as well.)

Shortly thereafter Nathan and I got his autograph; we must have hit it right when he got there, because there was no line (unlike the rest of the weekend, seriously). I told him I'd seen Waiting for Godot in London, which he thought was pretty cool~ :D Also, I was killed twice during the day by the Dread Pirate Roberts. XD It was quite amusing. I guess that's what happens when you're a redshirt. And at one point I recall waiting for the elevator and in the lobby were three generations of Trek: me in my TOS/movie outfit, a guy with an Enterprise jumpsuit, and a girl in Troi's turquoise dress. I thought that was pretty cool. Seriously, there was a lot more Trek cosplay this year, which made me glad. I mean, Star Wars fans are really big on cosplay. Trek fans not so much, but I think they should be!
Then it was time for dances and stuff~ We got changed and stopped by the Yule Ball, which was cooler than last year, though we didn't stay overly long. There was a Mad Scientists' Ball going on, but the line was insane (and the room was already at capacity) so there was some wandering and costume-watching instead. (I know I'm horribly lame, but costume-watching in the Mariott is one of my favorite things about Dragon*Con. You see so many cool things!)
Tyler trying to take a picture of me taking a picture of him...

Jen is so cute. XD

There was a Last Unicorn group at the Yule Ball! Eeee!

There was also a random boat. XD So obviously we took pictures.

Slytherins rule the world!

King of the Hill cosplayers. XD They even brought their own fence! I was so amused~

Monday was mostly just wandering around; we didn't make it to any panels (so I never did get to see Tom Felton, sadness) but we did get our tickets for next year. We also stopped into the Walk of Fame and told Garrett Wang about the cardboard standup Harry Kim's journey across the country with us, which he thought was hilarious. XD (Next time he's at D*C, I'm bringing the standup. I don't know why on Earth I didn't bring it this time!) He even took a picture of him with us with his camera, to prove we found the real thing at the end!
Then we hit up the art show (I bought art~ :D) and all had lunch together before dispersing in our various homeward directions~
All in all, it was a great Dragon*Con and I am already excited about next year (and I already have a list of costumes to make, ahahaha~). :D
Anyway; I had an absolutely fantastic time at the con and I am so very sad it is over. But I have to admit, there is also something to be said for having nothing to do in the evenings. I mean, I can do stuff that's not D*C-related. Like write. Or watch Enterprise. Or make costumes at a leisurely pace. Wow. Imagine that!
