Wesley - Ladies~: Okay, this started off as an inside joke during NextGen Nights. Basically, Wesley was explaining something to Troi and Crusher and they said something along the lines of the usual, "You're brilliant Wesley, OMG thank you!" and Wesley said, "You're welcome, ladies~" And from that point on for a long time every time he showed up in an episode, Scott would immediately say, "Ladies~" So... that's that. XD

Anakin is an artist :D: This is a screencap that I altered from one of the Clone Wars episodes; Anakin and Obi-Wan were trying to convince this race of seclusive snow monsters aliens to be friendly, and Anakin starts doodling this horribly cute little picture of them all being friends. I couldn't not icon it. XD I added the little heart because it just seemed to fit.

Life On Mars - will you look at that: I didn't make this icon, but I confess that I really like icons of this style - with someone up close in the foreground and a second person in the background. I wanted to make a Life On Mars icon that was cool-looking, but I found this one and decided it was what I wanted and I wouldn't have to do it myself after all~ Plus I just love Sam and Gene. :D That show is so awesome.

aliens attack kitt peak!: See, this is why it's fun to be an astronomer - pictures like this show up in your mailbox sometimes. XD Basically two of the grad students, Andrew and Julian, were observing at Kitt Peak. Clearly they were bored, because they sent a whole sequence of pictures of AN ALIEN ATTACK ON THE TELESCOPE DOME. Which was oh-so-obviously a plate attached to a string. So there you go. XD

BoB: It's okay - we're in a dell: This was one of my favorite lines from Band of Brothers; I think it was in the Battle of the Bulge episode, where they're all holed up in the snowy, cold woods, and some of the guys build a fire. Winters comes over and tells them to put it out, because it'll give away their position, and the guy goes, "It's okay - we're in a dell." And the response was something like, "Like where fairies and gnomes live?" I don't know, I just thought it was funny. XD
