It's beyond awesome! It's BE-AWESOME!
Feb. 23rd, 2009 12:24 amOkay, so. I was a horrible person and never went to go see Bolt in the theaters, mostly because I tend to not care for movies about animals so much. Let me just say now that was the hugest mistake ever - I saw on Friday that they were showing it at Gator Nights this weekend so poked Scott, Tiff, Cass into going with me because it was free. It was fantastic~ Everyone in the auditorium was laughing pretty much the whole time. XD I highly, highly reccoment Bolt. <3 I think I might have to get it when it comes out on DVD. Heck, even the Mater's Tall Tales they showed beforehand was absolutely hilarious~ Tomato-san! Afterwards we went to TCBY, which was a brilliant idea on the part of Cass, and I think we sat there and talked for two or three hours. XD
But in reality, this weekend was mostly made of sewing; I got a lot of work done on Padme, though there still is a bit to do. But I have a list, and I think I can get everything done by Friday, so! Whew~ The armbands turned out really well, I think, and so did the shin guards - they just need a little more work and they're done! The belt pouches just need maybe another hour or so, and the shirt and the wig are the only really big things left to do. Aluminum flashing was not hard to work with at all - the only major injury I sustained today was due to hot glue adhering to my finger, which was kind of unpleasant. So I also had to work for most of today without the use of my right pointer finger, which is kind of important to me. XD; It still has this huge blister on it, but it doesn't hurt anymore at least. :D; (I have been using copious amounts of hot glue, though - it works like magic on all the vinyl~) I still think my costume should just make itself. XD That would be so much easier!
Finally at about 8-ish or so today I decided to eat dinner and watch Spectacular!, which I taped way back at the beginning of the week and hadn't gotten to watch yet. XD; It was remarkably more original that I thought it would be and the music was good, in accordance with the couple of songs I already had~ And that Nikko kid is really not bad-looking. ;D Dadnapped! is still in the queue, since I taped that earlier this week too; I guess maybe I'll watch that next week, since I foresee being pretty busy sewing for the rest of this one. ^^; Also, I have run out of Alien Force to watch. D: Guess I'll have to regress tobaby ten year-old Ben and watch the original series. XD I can't wait to see baby Kevin.
Oh, but! I have to say, it's kind of sad when the best science I've seen on TV in a while comes on Ben 10. I mean, picture this: bad guy blows up Pluto. And Ben goes, "Hey! He just blew up the planet Pluto!" And one of the guys goes, "Don't be ridiculous, Pluto isn't a planet, it's a dwarf planet." And then Kevin says, "Look on the bright side, at least this'll smooth out Neptune's orbit." XD I nearly died~ It's just like that awesome conversation Doc and Doyle had on The Secret Saturdays about things not being scientific. Oh, cartoons, I love you when you are more accurate than "real" TV. XDD
And also, I have more topics from people that I was supposed to put into this entry, but it's getting a bit long so I will make it an entry of its own and try to get to that soon! I also need to remember that I have an RP app to write, because I know I am going to forget. D:
