I come bearing Disney pictures and news of an utterly non-productive weekend. ^^; So Friday was my Disney day; I slept in a little and left for Orlando around 1pm and got to Downtown Disney at 3:30, where I did some shopping for a few hours before I headed over to the park for the Halloween party. I got Jennie's Christmas present and a little something for Stacie, but wasn't allowed to buy anything for myself. BUT! OMG. They have DARKWING DUCK and RESCUE RANGERS on DVD. OMG OMG OMG. XD; They did not, alas, have any Kingdom Hearts action figures at the toy store, or I would have bought them. ^^; I want KH II Sora!! ::shakes fist::
Then I got changed for the Halloween party - I finally decided to go as Ritsuka, due to popular demand. ^^; I realized that the fabric I made Mulan's sash out of was the same color as his shirt, so I made myself a tank top out of it. Since I wore it under the coat, no one could tell it had no sleeves and it was much cooler. ^_^ It wasn't hard to find the park (whew!) and the parking lot wasn't too bad. There were so many people in costumes! And not just the kids, like I'd originally thought - a lot of parents were in costumes too, which I thought was really, really cool. There were so many tiny little Jack Sparrows! XD It was adorable~ And many small Supermans. :D
Since I didn't have anyone with me, I brought my stuffed Rufus along for the ride~ :D We rode the monorail over, which was neat~ Even though the event was sold out, the park wasn't too crowded - I don't think I waited more than 20 minutes to get on anything, and that was mostly Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh and Buzz Lightyear; I walked right on to most of the other rides. Pirates of the Caribbean has been reopened and I went on that second after touring the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse - it was much cooler than before, I think - the little drop thing is all in the dark (it so was not before... was it? :O) and Barbosa and Jack Sparrow are in it now. XD; Then I hit up Thunder Mountain (I SWEAR the ride is in the background, my camera just loses at pictures in the dark D:) and trick-or-treated my way over to the Haunted Mansion and made my way into Fantasyland.
Here's Rufus on Small World, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and waiting for Philharmagic. The girl handing out glasses for Philharmagic was like, "OMG you're Ritsuka!!" and that made me really happy~ :DD
Then I passed by Ariel's Grotto and we saw Scuttle and Rufus visited with Dumbo while we waited for the fireworks, which were quite awesome indeed~ Then it was off to Tomorrowland, where we went to the Star Command Headquarters to shoot aliens and took a ride on the Tomorrowland Transport System. I wanted to go on Space Mountain, but the parade was starting so I headed over to watch that. It was a cool parade, as Disney is wont to put on. With more Jack Sparrow! XD;
Afterwards I did a little bit of shopping before Rufus met up with Agent Pleakley and we went on Stitch and then it was already time to go! All in all, it was a lot of fun, with the trick-or-treating and the fireworks and the parade and just seeing everyone in costumes~ It was hot (ugh, Florida, will you get with the fall program?!) but it wasn't *too* bad after the sun went down, which was an hour or so into the night, so it was bearable. I'm excited to go next week with people~! ^^;

Yesterday Daisy and Diana and I went to go see Marie Antoinette (uh... somebody forgot to write a script... :D;;) before we got lunch and went to JoAnns because they were having a big sale. I swear, I have never seen that many people in a fabric store before. o.o; I didn't end up getting anything, since I'm tryng to save up, but I am GOING to start Sora when I'm done working on things for other people. Fuu just needs to be put together, and Simon's vest is nearly done. I still need to put the stripes on Mal's pants - the coat is done, so yay! Scott and I went looking for boots today, but no real luck. D: We did find a shirt though, so that's good. He came over and played KHII a little because he wanted to see what it was like - I let him finish the second chapter of Pirates because I didn't feel like saving Will. XD; (But I had to fight the eeeeeevil monster that stole all the coins, argh, that took so long! o.o;). I actually spent most of the day playing it, before working on the vest a bit and watching some DS9. :D; Aaaaand that's my not-so-productive weekend.
