I'm alive, really I am...
Oct. 12th, 2005 10:25 pmOMG look an update! First off, a major apology to most people on my flist - I haven't been around much/had a lot of time lately, so I haven't really been checking my friendspage religiously. So if I haven't commented it's so not because I hate you or don't care, it's because homework is EVIL and should be abolished from the face of the earth!
That being said, I was gone all weekend (Thurs night - Mon morning) in Orlando for my Second Feigenbaum Constant Reunion! XD (Read: we're nerds and it's been about 2.6 years since we graduated and we wanted to name our trip after a constant yay.) So I got to spend the weekend with Lee, Taylor, and Stacie. It was totally awesome. First off, I swear the place we stayed was BIGGER THAN MY APARTMENT. With a whirlpool tub in our bathroom and two bedrooms/bathrooms and a living room and fully equipped kitchen and screened balcony and everything. It was cool. :D Thursday we ordered pizza at 1:30am when we got there, Friday we just kind of hung out, dodged the rain and got groceries, went to Downtown Disney (I now own one of those plastic bracelet things that says "I <3 Grumpy Boys" XD;;), and came back to have a taco fiesta, watch the Kim Possible movie, and make cookies~
Saturday we went to this awesome Mazda thing and got to drive cool cars really fast and pet the new Miatas. Then we went to Kennedy and got to see cool space stuff! Like the shuttle launchpads and OMG a Saturn V rocket and a LEM and Apollo Command Module (apparently they had one as a rescue vehicle for Skylab, go figure, and apparently there is MILES of wiring in that thing o.O;;). Plus I bought a nerdy mug~ Later we watched Batman Begins too, which was good!
Sunday was Universal Studios during the day, then dinner at Margaritaville and hanging out at Pat O'Brien's (dueling pianos = cool!). The guys smoked the cigars they'd bought on Friday and tried (amusingly) to blow smoke rings. Then Monday I had to take them back to the airport ;_; and come back to Gville for Cosmology class. Also, I don't remember which night it was, but Stacie and I also pulled out the swimsuits to watch Lilo & Stitch 2 in the tub. XD Damn you, movie, for playing with our emotions like that! But it was good. (Jen, want me to bring it when I come next week? ^_^)
Guh. And I had to lecture for AST3018 on binary stars yesterday, and Cosmology was due yesterday too and Obs Tech is due tomorrow. XP But I've got most of it done, so yay for that. Holy crap I hate optics. Or maybe it's just Ge's questions that I hate. I swear - there are six questions, and each one is A PARAGRAPH LONG of him just rambling and asking like twenty questions in the process. ><;; Plus there's a test in Stellar Structures next week, which I won't even think about studying for until tomorrow or (more likely) Friday because I'm going to anime club, darnit! (Diana! We must coordinate!)
That's it for the moment. I think~
Oh, and just because: Go Gmail! XD babyhedgehogs
Actual trip pictures to come... at some point. (Stacie Quote to come as well!)
Nerdly Quote of Last Week:
Ata: So you guys learned about the Big Bang, then? How it's supposed to be a naked singularity and all?
Leah: Well, we learned it doesn't have to be!
Curtis: Right, so it's more of a scantily-clad singularity.

Also. No A/C all day in the Astro building means open windows. While these are nice (and so is not freezing!) I now have five mosquito bites because of it. :x Gr!
