Yay! So here it is, the probably totally-out-of-order Dragon*Con Report-ish-thing. :D; Complete with (some) pictures and a link to my photobucket at the end if anyone wants more for some silly reason. ^^;

Parade:
We marched in the parade with the Browncoats on Saturday morning.

It was awesome~ :D Not only did we get to march with the ENTIRETY of the 76th Independent Battalion, but we had everyone singing songs and seriously, you can't beat a brigade of Browncoats singing the Hero of Canton. XD Almost as much fun was just walking to the line-up spot and waiting to march, because we got to see all the other groups marching that way. We totally followed the Rockford Peaches up the street to line up, and grouped around us were the Roughnecks (from Starship Troopers), superheroes, all the Star Wars and Harry Potter people, and (a portion of) the 300. It was pretty damn cool. XD
Shindig:
The Shindig was Saturday night, right after the Whedon Costume Contest (which was pretty fun to participate in, there were some really unique costumes like a Fruity Oaty Bar and the medics from Ariel). It was pretty cool, with nifty decorations like lanterns on the tables and coloring books and j-snacks and games and bubbles, though we stayed for an hour or two and the music hadn't started yet. I suspect this might have been because they'd shut down the Hyatt (which it was in) right as we were arriving, due to overcrowding (one of a couple times that weekend >>;). So it was fun, but we mostly just sat around and talked, and I was really tired and had to get up early to drive Jennie to the airport so I think we headed out about midnight.
Yule Ball:
Wow, those Harry Potter kids sure know how to throw a party! We didn't get there 'till late, because we'd stayed to watch the Mythbuster-hosted Masquerade on Sunday, but when we got there, there were SO many people in AWESOME costumes! (Alas, I was in Kaylee, but that was okay. ^^;) There was fun music and tons of people were dancing; the DJ was doing these cute "requests", like, "This song is from McGonagall to Dumbledore" and such. It was pretty cute~ I really enjoyed just hanging out and watching everyone have fun, though next year I am SO making a dress and going as my Slytherin~
Panels (Trek, Firefly, Potter):
We managed to go to some pretty awesome panels, such as the Harry Potter panel with Neville, Fred, and George on Saturday morning after the parade (Jennie was awesome and got us seats~).

That one was really interesting - Matthew is adorable and they had some interesting stories and such. Plus, they tried to get Matthew to do an American accent and that was really cute. XD James and Oliver had an amusing story about Alan Rickman and his iPod. XD And pretty much everyone was like, "We love you~"
We also went to two Firefly panels, one with Mark Sheppard (Badger) and one with Ron Glass (Book). Ron Glass is an awesome speaker - he kept just wandering around the room with a wireless mike and asking people questions and speculating on Book's past with us and it was fun~ We also managed to hunt him down at his table when there was no line and give him a Book plushie. XD; He seemed very amused~
Then there were two Trek panels we went to - one with Riker, Data, and Crusher, and one with Q.

Alas, the Robert Picardo stuff was canceled because he was apparently filming CSI or something, so booooo I really wanted to see him. ;_; But the NextGen panel was hilarious XD - they all came out as each other (like, when the guy said Gates McFadden, Jonathan Frakes came out). John DeLancie had his own panel, and while he didn't have a lot of stuff to say about Trek, he was still really interesting to hear from. I managed to get autographs from Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, and John DeLancie, but alas, Gates McFadden had left by the time I managed to hit up the Trek tables. But still! They were pretty amused that they got to use paint markers to sign my Companion - which, I realized, is so old that it only goes up to season five (out of seven). :D;;
And on Monday we stopped in to watch Robot Battles, which was really pretty amusing. People have some pretty impressive robots, I must say!
Stuff I bought!:
We hit up the Dealers' Room a couple of times, and I got a few things. I got a cute little Hogwarts Student Broom Parking Pass, a Hogwarts banner (because I couldn't pick between Slytherin and Gryffindor), a Hogwarts patch, and a DS9 baseball patch. I... think that was it? But there was SO much cool stuff. *_*
Elevators o.O:
Holy crap, the elevators were SO crowded. I guess we didn't run into this problem last year, not having stayed at a hotel, but geez. We were on the 17th floor, so it wasn't like we could just run up the stairs to our room. Still, it kind of sucked, having to plan on waiting for 10-20 minutes for an elevator the whole weekend. And then stopping on every floor on the way up and down. :x
Picture with the Weasley Twins~!:
So most of the actors were doing nifty photo ops, and Skuld was going to kill me if I didn't get my picture taken with the Weasley twins, so I did. XD; HOLY CRAP THEY ARE TALL. VERY TALL. I MEAN TALL. XD But also very nice.And cute. :D;
TV:
Dragon*Con TV is the best. The bumpers were absolutely hilarious, and their fake commercials were awesome too. XD (Remember: Assuming makes an ass out of you and Ming!) Plus they were showing some Star Trek parody in Russian or something which was utterly fabulous (I think it was called Star Wreck or something), and there was this great play off of Bohemian Rhapsody with Klingons. All around awesome amusement, that's for sure.
Other highlights include the fact that we accidentally almost stole a table in a restaurant from one of the actors on Babylon 5, we (tried to) participate in the 501st Droid Hunt (though Scott was the only one who got caught, but he did win a nifty Star Wars book!), and the fact that somehow my Kaylee costume was, uh, really popular? A lot of people complimented me on it! (This seriously never happens. o.O; I mean, it was pretty cool. :D;)I think it was the shoe polish. XD; Actually, the coolest part of it was one guy even remembered that I was the River with the ice planet last year!
Also, I have to say, Grant and Carrie from the Mythbusters totally made the Masquerade. They were SO amusing. (What do you call a fish without eyes? Fshhhhhhhh~ |D) Poor Carrie lost all her geek cred, but Grant certainly did not. He was SO funny. XD And Carrie was funny because she really didn't know what the hell was going on most of the time. We still love her~
Okay, that's really most of what I remember, other than the VERY amusing car ride back when we decided that HR diagram really meant Hermione-Ron diagram and that one axis would consist of a teaspoon. XD Scott is awfully funny in the car.
Uh. If anyone wants the rest of the pictures, they are up here.
:D;;
And there will probably be another entry in a while with more mundane (but probably not less nerdy) stuff. ^^;
